The Cape Ross was built at Sterling Shipyards, Vancouver, British Columbia in 1952 by the Canadian Fishing Company as a seine boat based in Alert Bay, BC. Please visit our History Page for more details. The boat was retired from the Canadian Fishing Company in 2000 and has been stripped down and totally refitted.
It has taken 6 years to refit the Cape Ross to the highest standards of safety, durability and beauty. Cape Ross is approved by the Canadian Coast Guard as a passenger vessel and complies with international standards as set out in STCW - 95 regulations for newly constructed vessels.
