The propeller pitch is set to be a little light so the engine isn't working so hard, making for less fuel consumption as well as less wear and tear on the machinery. Full throttle engine rpm. of 1850 gives a speed of 10.5 knots.
Running at an engine rpm. of 1500 we are averaging 9 knots with a fuel consumption of 22 to 24 liters ( just under 5 US gallons ) per hour.

The hull is 1 3/4" fir planking on 3'x2' oak frames on 10" centers.
Clamps are 2 1/2" yellow cedar and lining is 1 1/2" yellow cedar.
Deck beams are 7'x9' yellow cedar and deck planking is 1 1/2" fir.
